Sweet 16 Birthday Party

We had D3's 16th B-day party at the stake pavillion last Saturday. The weather was realy nice and she had a great time. Most of her friends are Improv/Drama kids so we did a Disney Themed party, complete with dress ups and skits. They also played charades and a characture guessing game.

Let me tell you, a bunch of 16 year olds can eat a LOT of Pizza!

It was a fun day.

Finally birthday are over, for a couple of months anyway!

Grub Box

Thanks to everyone who was willing to help me out with the apples. They didn't last long as soon as I posted they were gone. Thank you!!

So yesterday D2 called me from her way home. (I was so glad I had the day off!)She worked at Grub Box for almost 3 years. Today was demolition day. I grabbed my camera jumped in the van and we watched as the building came down. It was kind of fun to see.

Please Help!!

I am seeing Red...red apples that is. My in laws gave me apples, then more apples and then even more apples. I got a bunch done last week and then I took today off so I could get them finished. My counters are now covered with bottles of apples.

Here is where I need the help. I still have 2 1/2 very large boxes sitting in my kitchen. I am out of bottles, time, energy and will power. Would someone PLEASE take these apples off my hands? I don't want to feel guilty because they are not getting done but I just can't do one more bottle.

If anyone is interested call me or leave a comment. Even if you only want some for snacking on.

Please Help....

My Mini Vacation

I am a little slow with this but weekend before last, I went up and visited D1 at school. We had so much fun.
While she was in class I attended the Temple. Its is very beautiful and was so nice.
We also drove up the freeway a ways and visited my Grandma. While we were there my Aunt and Uncle stopped by and I got to visit with them. I haven't been to my grandmas house for over 8 years so it brought back alot of memories.

We also attended a morning side with the Temple President, went shopping at a mall, watched movies, and just layed around and talked. One night D1 and her roommates asked me to fix a homemade meal (they live in a non cooking dorm and cafeteria food gets old.) So we reserved the kitchen and made Chicken Enchiladas.

The visit was so nice but I don't know if it was good or not because now I miss her even more. Lets see only about 30 days till Thanksgiving.

Super Saturday Projects

Jen Noury asked me if I would do a project for Super Saturday so here it is.
We will be doing these Believe Blocks. They are very easy to do and you have your choise of two different ones. There is the Vintage (green) or the Bold (red). Sign up sheets should be going around on Sunday. The cost will be $8 each.
I am out of the loop but I know there is at least one other project available also (at least I think thats what Jen told me) along with some mini classes.

I hope you enjoy them.

October is Birthday Month...

Last week D1 celebrated her 19th Birthday far from home. We put together a little party in a box for her and she and her roommies partied without us. (there were lots of phone calls that day!)
Yesterday D3 turned 16. I am not sure how I like this. My girls are growing up way to fast. Anyway D3 got a cell phone and she couldn't have been happier. It wasn't really a suprise but it was what she wanted. Then we went to YW and she got flowers...from a boy! I don't know about this.

Happy Birthday to both of you. I love you both so much!

Its Here...Fall

With the rain outside my window, the heater coming on and the apples sitting in a box on my kitchen floor, I can't deny that Fall is officially here.

Fall/Autumn is not my favorite time of the year. I know many people like it, I am not usually one of them. Those who know me, know I like it hot, (okay maybe not hot but definitely warm!) I like to go outside barefoot. I like to be in the pool. I LOVE to sit on my porch on a warm summer night with a good book or a good friend to talk to.

Fall means snow and cold are just around the corner! It means kids stuck in the house with no where to go. It means mud tracked into the carpets. I just don't like it.

That being said, there are things I guess I do enjoy about fall.
*I love the bright colors of the trees as they change.
*I enjoy sipping hot chocolate from my favorite mug in the mornings.
*I truly and thoroughly love the holidays, Halloween, Thanksgiving and CHRISTMAS!!
*I like finding a new hoodie, and making it my favorite for the season. (this year its a BYU-I hoodie-go figure)
*I enjoy soup for dinner (quick, easy and oh so good!)
*I enjoy turning up the heat on my electric blanking, snuggling in and reading a good book.
*I like working on a new project, be it sewing, scrapbooking or something else.

and last but not least
*I love to spend a quite evening at home with the whole family because its to rainy/snowy/cold to go out.

Maybe this year I need to change my attitude a little. Maybe this year if I can't love fall, I can at least try and enjoy these other blessing it brings, as I wait for April to arrive.

Maybe...

Which Sports Car Are You?

I'm a Lotus Elise!

You believe in maximum performance and minimum baggage. You like to travel light and fast, hit the corners hard, and dance like there's no tomorrow.

"Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.

That was kind of fun. Try it!
