FHE Treats

So for FHE this week, hubby was in charge of treats. He went to Smiths and bought cookie dough and frosting. The kids thought it was the best treat we had ever done. (as compared to the Lemon Bars I did the week before and most didn't like them.)

Ice Fishing...Brrrr

So a couple of weekends ago. (I am slow, I know) Hubby took Only Son ice fishing. They went with some friends of ours up to Strawberry.
It was cold and windy but they had a snowmobile and caught some big fish so I think they had a lot of fun.





All I can say is I am glad Only Son likes hanging with his dad because that is just to cold for me!

Sweetheart Dance

Last Saturday was the Sweetheart Dance and D1 and three of her friends went. Before they left they turned my bedroom into a Salon and got all glitzy. But don't they look beautiful?



Once the boys got here they were off to the dance.



D1 and her date looked so nice. It could almost make a mother cry. They had a great time and even made it back before curfew!

Thanks to Sonja, I have some photos of the fun Valentine dance we went to last weekend. We took D1 with us because she didn't have a date. We danced and hung out with friends. D1 and I (well kind of me) learned the Electric Slide. The best part was when Hubby and others were "asked" to do the YMCA. That had everyone in stitches. What a fun night. I hope they do it again .

Vacation photos

We just got back from Bear Lake yesterday. We had a blast. We went sledding, swimming, played in the hot tub and played the Wii Sing-it. We celebrated three brithdays and hung out with all our family.

This is a photo of Only Son taken over a year ago. We had gone up to Memorial park to do some pictures for school. Only son IS the only boy and I think a trip to the dentist would have been more fun in his opinion. He was a good sport and we got some good photos that day. Afterwards I took the kids to gateway and let them run wild for a while. It was actually a really fun day, the kind of day you remember.

The Right Idea

D5 has the right idea. I don't care for this cold weather much. I know I need to quit complaining. I can't change it. This weekend was so perfect and a lot of that was due to the weather. On Saturday, I slept in until 10 am. We ate lunch late, and hung around the house. I did a little shopping that evening but we just had a very lazy Saturday. What a good idea!
