Women's Conference

I don't have any pictures to post but I have just had a most amazing week and wanted to share some of my feelings.

My dear Friend, Danika, invited me to attend BYU Women's Conference this week. It was so amazing! We took some great classes and herd from Pres. Beck, Pres. Dalton, Pres. Lant, Jill Stevens, Ruth Todd and Elder L. Tom Parry, just to name a few.

I have been taught and uplifted in so many ways. One of my favorite classes was taught by Ruth Todd. She talked about how we as mothers have Veto power and can stop the evil influences that surround our daughters (and sons) just by saying NO!

Another favorite class was taught by Susan Jones entitled, "Stand in Awe...and be Still". Sister Jones talked about two types of water that we should seek. Still Waters and living Waters. Our Savior offers the Living water, we just have to partake of it. The Still Waters are ours to find. For me this is the hard part; finding time to be still, to say prayers, to ponder, to read my scriptures. I am going to do better. I am going to make finding Still waters a priority.

Thank you Danika for inviting me. What a great week it has been!

How wonderful - love the veto idea.

I would love to go someday. Just one thing I can look forward to when the kiddos are all in school I guess!

Thanks for posting those notes from conference. I'm interested in reading more about the waters. Hopefully that will be one of the talks they post online.
