The best part of course was we had everyone home. No one left to go hang out at friends or parties or whatever. D3 had to work but she still got home in time for most of the activities.
Every year I fix everyones favorite munchie food (that means there is lots food!) Here is a photo recap.
Breadsticks with Marinra Sause and a very nummy, Weight Watchers friendly Spinich Dip courtesy of Hungy Girl
Two different Pizzas, courtesy of Pappa Murphy's and D3
Two different types of Chicken Wings, one super spicy for the "spicy hubby" and Sweet Bar B Q for the rest of us.
Chilled Shrimp... Need I say more on that
Motzerella sticks
and of course, crackers, chips and soda for those who are truley picky!
Food wasn't the only thing on the agenda. We played games. (Hubby and Only Son so loooved the New Moon Game. Had a Gutar Hero Battle, (I lost- I always loose!) We also watched movies and just enjoyed each other.
At midnight we watched the ball drop, toasted in the new year (with sparkling cider) and ate donuts.
We also went outside and blew our obnoxious horns as loud as we could.
then we went to bed!
It was a great night, I hope that means it will be a good year!

The food looks delicious. I think I need to take a few lessons. Even though I have a family of my own, I sure missed spending the Holiday at my parents ... we often still try to get together and play games and eat food all night, but this year the kids were sick. I missed being with my family, but we still had fun playing games with our kiddos here at home. It looks like your party was fun!

A very cool idea to do everyone's fave foods. I remember you saying that last year too.
Thanks for your good example of being a mom who makes family a priority.
